Braintree Dominates New Hampshire Squad in Babe Ruth Regionals
Supporters raised more than $6,000 to send Braintree to Connecticut for the Babe Ruth regionals.
The Braintree 15-year-old Babe Ruth team beat Keene, NH in just six innings Saturday, winning by the slaughter rule 11-1.
Braintree is in Newtown, CT playing in the Babe Ruth 15 Regional Tournament after winning the Eastern Massachusetts Championship. The team will stay in Connecticut as long as it keeps winning in double elimination play.
They are scheduled to play again Sunday against the winner of Central Maine and Pittsfield, representing Western Massachusetts.
