Braintree Man Arrested on Third Drunk Driving Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Braintree Police Department's log: 


Friday Feb. 21:

  • At 11:51 a.m., police responded to an accident on Washington Street.
  • At 12:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a past larceny on Granite Street. Stacy E. Szatkowski, 24, of Mount Vernon Street, Malden, was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.
  • At 1:03 p.m., police responded to a possible larceny attempt on Beechwood Road.
  • At 2:42 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Stedman Avenue.
  • At 3:58 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Grandview Road.
  • At 8:30 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Grossman Drive. Karen A. Calabrese-Kelley, 46, of 43 Bellaire Road, West Roxbury, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
  • At 8:38 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Street. Julie A. Fay, 48, of 580 Washington St., Braintree, was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
  • At 9:03 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Forbes Road. Kevin E. Segreve, 53, of 2416 West St., Braintree, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, third offense.

Saturday, Feb. 22:

  • At 7:16 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Heritage Lane.
  • At 8:35 a.m., police responded to a report of a past larceny on Grove Street.
  • At 1:05 p.m., police responded to a larceny on Pearl Street. Michael Grandmont, 36, of 2 North Ave., Brockton, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property valued above $250 and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 2:02 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Granite Street.
  • At 3:59 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism on Grossman Drive.
  • At 9:02 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street.
  • At 11:59 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Common Street. William Yv Fongang, 36, of 68 Federal Ave., Quincy, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Sunday, Feb. 23

  • At 1:15 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on McCusker Drive.
  • At 12:40 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Washington Street.
  • At 3:31 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street.
  • At 4:13 p.m., police responded to  report of suspicious activity on Harrison Avenue.
  • At 6:22 p.m., police responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle on Shaw Street.
  • At 6:34 p.m., police responded to a vehicle break-in on Maplewood Terrace.
  • At 8:26 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Grossman Drive. Paul J. Novicki, 40, of 35 Lyons St., Quincy, was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.
  • At 11:06 p.m., police responded to an accident on Washington Street. William T. Sawyer, 18, of 276 Washington St., Braintree, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, impeded operation of a motor vehicle and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
