Donation Drive for Braintree Family Displaced by Fire

The fire significantly damaged the Pearl Street house Monday morning.

The Brew House in Braintree is being made available as a donation center for the family whose home was heavily damaged in a fire early Monday morning.

The Pearl Street home, owned by John and Peg Ford, caught fire just after midnight Monday morning and sustained $300,000 in damages to the structure and property.

Neither the homeowners nor their daughter were injured in the blaze, though they were forced to stay with family because their home was left uninhabitable. A firefighter suffered minor injures.

People looking to donate money or other items for the family can drop them off at the 703 Granite St. restaurant anytime between Monday and Thursday morning and owner Alex Kesaris will make sure the donations get to the Ford family.
