What Are Braintree High's Most Expensive Sports?
The athletic fee is increasing next year for Braintree High School students.
Earlier this month, the School Committee voted to raise athletic fees at Braintree High School to better cover operating costs and bring the district more in line with what other towns charge.
As part of the change, hockey athletes will be required to pay more based on the cost of their sport. However, hockey is not the most expensive sport that BHS offers. Football costs significantly more, but it also brings in additional revenue.
Below are the top 10 most expensive sports at Braintree High School. The athletic department costs noted below for 2012-2013 include equipment, coaches salaries, officials pay and buses.
