Grand Opening for New TD Bank at Five Corners in Braintree on May 5th

To celebrate the relocation of its retail store in Braintree, TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, will host a community grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the new store located at 405 Franklin Street.

The new location is TD’s 56th energy-efficient location across the bank’s Maine to Florida footprint.

The new TD Bank store will target LEED Silver certification based on its overall environmental performance in six areas: the use of a sustainable site, low water usage, energy efficiency, the use of recycled materials, its indoor environmental air quality and its innovation and design.

To manage the new store and its 10 to 15 employees that are hired locally, TD Bank has tapped Jane Barry for the job. As store manager, she will be responsible for new business development, consumer lending, and managing personnel and day-to-day operations.

Barry started at TD Bank in 2009 as store manager of the bank’s current Braintree location. She is a member of the Notre Dame Academy Advancement Committee, has co-chaired the annual Out of the Blue Gala for the last two years, and served as an alumnae chaperone for the school’s Appalachia Service Project. She is also a member of the Dorchester YMCA Advisory Board. She is originally from Hingham, Mass., and currently lives in Hanover with her husband John and 18-year-old son Christopher.

Entire families – including pets – are invited to participate at the grand opening celebration, which is free and open to the public and will feature:

• Free hot dog cart, candy buffet and refreshments
• DJ and balloon artist
• Exciting games and prizes, including a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree
• Ribbon cutting ceremony at noon.
