Braintree 4th of July Celebration Entertainment Lineup

Entertainment begins at Braintree High at 5 p.m. on June 29.

The following is from the Braintree July 4th Celebration Committee:

The Braintree July 4th Celebration Committee is pleased to announce that the Braintree Electric Light Department (BELD) through the Board of Light Commissioners Chairman Jim Regan, Vice Chairman Anthony Agnitti and Secretary Tom Reynolds, has partnered with the committee to sponsor this year’s live entertainment which will begin at 5 p.m. on the main stage at Braintree High School on Saturday, June 29

"Once again BELD is proud to partner with the committee to help celebrate Braintree’s 40 celebration,” said BELD Commission Chairman Jim Regan.

5PM – 6:30 PM Returning this year is The Big Nazo Band www.bignazo.com – a group of visual artists, puppet performers, and masked musicians who unite to create bizarre and hilarious larger-than-life sized characters, environments, and spectacles while playing hits that all can dance to.

7PM to 9:30PM Closing out the evening is The Reminisants www.reminisants.com - The Reminisants have been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout New England since 1973 and feature dance music that appeals to a variety of musical tastes across several generations and have appeared in Braintree in the past and will rock the night away with your favorite music from the 50's to today. 

“The committee is honored to have BELD partner with the Town of Braintree and us to offer fantastic live entertainment that we know all will enjoy at this free family event.  We need residents and business to continue stepping forward and offer their financial support in order for us to reach our fundraising goal,” said committee chair Sean Powers.

“The town of Braintree is committing $40,000 to this important civic event that not only celebrates our independence but also everything that is great about Brainteee,” added Mayor Joe Sullivan.

Donations can be made out and mailed to Braintree July 4th Celebration Committee, P.O. Box 850263, Braintree, Ma 02185.   

Volunteers are needed for the set of the parade and selling raffle tickets at the celebration. To volunteer, donate, and get updates, visit the committee’s website www.braintrees4th.org and people are also encouraged to check back for more updates.
