Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses that their community thrives on. American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is important to support local small businesses that rely on their neighbors in order to continue prospering and building the local economy in Braintree. Bling Boutique is an independent retailer located on Washington Street in Braintree.
When Nadine Aniello-Kubiak was a girl, she not only loved to play dress up, she also styled her friends' clothing, eventually turning that passion and an entrepreneurial drive into a successful clothing shop in Braintree. Bling Boutique opened in 2010 and was quickly recognized for its mix of designer clothing and reasonable prices. Along with business accomplishments, including South Shore Readers Choice awards and an international fashion website feature, Aniello-Kubiak has been honored for her work raising money for a variety of causes, including Toys for Tots and Kyleigh's Cure. Sustainable Braintree’s community meeting will be held on November 15, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Cahill Auditorium in Braintree Town Hall. This meeting is open to the general public.
