Members of the Town Council's Committee on Public Safety plan Tuesday night to ask South Shore Plaza representatives about security at Macy's during the store's upcoming "marathon shopping" weekend leading up to Christmas. The committee is meeting to discuss general police updates with Chief Russell Jenkins and holiday security plans for the mall. Councilor Sean Powers, vice chair of the committee, said members will also ask about potential police details during the 24-hour shopping event being held from Friday, Dec. 21 through Monday, Dec. 24.
