Mayor Joseph C. Sullivan and the Braintree Recreation Department present the 3rd Annual Free Family Fun Kids Day on Thursday, August 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at French’s Common located next to Town Hall. The grills will be heated for hot dogs along with chips, beverages and ice cream. Our DJ will play the music. There will be a bounce house, slip n’ slide, face painting,games, activities and fun for all. It’s all free. Please join us and enjoy the festivities. Rain date is Friday, August 3rd. One Braintree One Book Baseball Finale August 16, 5:00 to 7:00 PM The Thayer Public Library is celebrating the finale of our second annual One Braintree, One Book right across the street from the library at French’s Common. There will be free food and fun for all ages. Come and cheer on the Princes and the Thieves as they compete in the kids’ softball game. For those ages 3 and older, if you’ve ever wondered if your pitch is ready for the majors, come try your hand at the speed-pitch machine. There will also be a craft activity, face painting, and a raffle drawing. If you haven’t entered the raffle, it’s not too late.
