Braintree Grandmother Publishes E-Book of Children's Stories

"Grandma Ginny" makes appearances at daycares and other places, performing her stories in character.

“The Angel Had Purple Wings,"  “Little Lucy," “Disappearing Shadow," and “The Dancing Trees” are some of the stories that “Grandma Ginny” has written for her grandchildren. Motivated by the children’s love of reading, their weekly visits to Thayer Public Library, and their difficulty falling asleep, long-time Braintree resident Ginny Polio has written many short stories, rhymes, and lullabys to delight and settle down her grandkids at bedtime. Some stories are the retelling of actual events, like “Adventures with Lucky and Slimy” and “Sleeping in My Own Bed.” Others were strictly imaginary tales that appeal to children. Still others were a compilation of fantasy and reality.
