UPDATE: Because of the snow, we will be re-scheduling the Braintree High Cheer Program Info Meeting at South Middle School to Thursday 3/21 at 3pm. East Middle will remain Tuesday, 3/26 at 3pm. ***** ***** ***** Information meetings for Braintree High School Cheerleading will be held on March 19 and March 26 at 3 p.m. The meeting today – March 19 – is at South Middle School in the gymnasium. The meeting on March 26 is at East Middle School. The coach and two to three cheerleaders will be in attendance. There will also be a parent/athlete meeting in May at BHS. Braintree sports photos from recent senior nights and a cheerleading tournament.
The Braintree High School cheerleaders, at a tournament Saturday at Bristol Plymouth Regional Tech, took first place by default when the competition didn't show. Last Wednesday night was the last game the seniors on the BHS girls varsity basketball team would play at BHS. There was a special ceremony held to honor the seniors who will graduate this year. They beat Needham 53-33 that night. The boys ice hockey team held its senior night last Tuesday and beat St. Peter-Marian 8-2.

Children ages seven to 14 have the opportunity to learn cheerleading skills at Braintree High School next month and perform during halftime of a boys varsity basketball game. A $25 clinic will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, followed by the game. The price includes child admission into the game, a souvenir BHS hair bow, pizza and a water bottle. Aspiring cheerleaders will learn: A complete halftime cheer and dance, and several sideline cheers. The children will present what they have learned during the Braintree Varsity Boys Basketball game starting at 6:30 pm. The Braintree High School Varisty Cheerleaders were crowned Fall 2012 Bay State Conference Champions during the Bay State Conference Cheer Championship held at Braintree High School on Thursday, Nov. 1. This team had one common goal going into our competition season and it was to be Baystate League Champions – Thursday night their goal was accomplished. We are so proud of each and every cheerleader! Each practice the girls came in determined and ready to push themselves and each other to the max in order to be successful.
