Congratulations to our Boys Ice Hockey Team for an outstanding 14-win season. The boys were defeated by Milton last 2-0 at Gallo Arena in the MIAA Division I South Sectional Semi-Finals. Admission is $ 7 for students and $ 10 for adults. All vehicles must be parked in the designated campus parking areas. The fee to park is $6. Braintree moves on in the MIAA tournament after beating Marshfield on Saturday, March 3. More info on the girls playoffs squads inside as well.
“A lot of people outside of Braintree don’t give us a chance in this one but I know we can beat this team. It’s going to be a barn burner but our kids can win," boasted Tom Mahoney, father of #17 Tom Mahoney. He was right. The Wamps brought not only their A game to the Gallo Rink in Bourne against Marshfield but their A+ game. It was offense, it was defense, it was goaltending and it was coaching and the Braintree High School boys varsity hockey team mixed it all together and stunned Marshfield with a 2-0 victory in the quarter final round of the MIAA Division 1 South Tournament. The teams played evenly in the first period as the goaltending on both sides was perfect allowing no goals. Braintree edged out Marshfield in shots on net 7-6…

Athletic Director Michael Denise writes: Congratulations to the Braintree High School Boys Ice Hockey Team and the Girls Basketball Team. Both were victorious on Wednesday evening and will move on to the next round of the MIAA South Sectional Tournament, also joining the Girls Ice Hockey Team who advanced on Monday. The Boys Ice Hockey team defeated Duxbury 3-1 at Gallo Arena in Bourne. With the victory, the boys will now play in the South Sectional Quarterfinals on Saturday vs. Marshfield at Gallo Arena. The time is still to be determined. The Girls Basketball Team defeated Whitman-Hanson 60-8. Braintree High School boys varsity hockey plays next on Saturday at 7 p.m. against Acton-Boxboro away.
Natick held Braintree to only two goals in their Bay State Conference matchup on Wednesday night, but that's all the Wamps needed to win their tenth game, putting them at 10-2-2 this season so far and keeping them just ahead of Needham in the league standings. Dave Fasano scored Braintree's first goal at 6:30 in the first period on an assist by Connor Leslie. At 8:35 in the second period, Leslie set up Tom Mahoney with Braintree's second goal giving the Wamps a 2-0 lead. Natick scored less than a minute later, just seconds into a power play. hat would end the scoring for the evening for both teams as stellar defense and goal tending prevailed. Braintree High School boys varsity ice hockey captured its 7th win of the season against Dedham on Saturday night, blanking them 7-0. They play next away at Newton North at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Braintree High School boys ice hockey team's 4-2 win over Weymouth Wednesday night was its sixth win this season and keeps them in first place in their division. They play Dedham next on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Zapustas Arena in Randolph.
