2012 Saw About 2,225 Articles On Braintree Patch: What Was Your Favorite?

It all adds up in the end, and now that we're at the end, what was your favorite story in Braintree looking back at this year?

Okay, maybe 2012 didn't end with John Cusack saving everyone in Braintree like in that movie. But there was plenty of other things going on in town, and now as we approach the at the end of the year, and according to our calculations, Braintree Patch had approximately 2,225 articles in 2012 on our front page from us and you, excluding a possible few that we missed and those coming up this New Year's weekend. Today, we want to ask you which story was the one you were most interested in reading about, and what would you like to see us to cover more in 2012? Was it the development of the Petersen Pool athletic complex at BHS? Maybe one of the various events held throughout the elementary schools? Following the search for a new police chief? …

Best of Patch Readers' Choice: Braintree Wedding Reception Venues Winner

Sons of Italy Hall won this weeks Best of Patch Reader's Choice Braintree Wedding Reception Venues contest by a nose. The hall won with 33 percent of the vote, just beating Emerald Hall, which received 26 percent. "Other" also earned 33 percent. This is the last Reader's Choice for a while. Bin Ends overwhelmingly won our Best of Patch Readers' Choice Braintree Package Stores contest this week. The wine store took 75 percent of the vote in our poll, followed by Braintree Liquors and Liberty Wine & Liquors, tied at 8 percent each. The Braintree Flower Shop won our Best of Patch Readers' Choice contest this week on the best flower shops in Braintree. The Washington Street store took 61 percent. of the vote in our poll, followed by The Potting Bench at 17 percent. and Barry's Flower Shop at 11 percent.
