The Bishops cruised to a 60-33 win over Lee in Worcester on Saturday morning.
In control from the start, the Archbishop Williams High School girls basketball dominated Lee in the Division 3 championship game, cruising to a victory at Worcester’s DCU Center. "That was the plan to play like that,” said head coach Jim Bancroft, whose team finished with a 22-5 record on the year. “We had three days of practice to work on our game plan, and they did it. They did it exactly how we wanted them to.” Check back with Braintree Patch on Monday morning for complete coverage of Saturday’s game. We had to match Archbishop Williams’ intensity, kind of find ourselves a little bit, and at the end of the day play some basic lacrosse.” Senior star, and Eastern Connecticut State recruit, Cody Carbone led the charge for the Hornets in the second half. …
