Merrimack College Jessica Walsh, a resident of Braintree, MA, was recently honored as a Merrimack College Presidential Scholar in recognition of strong academic achievements at the Honors Convocation held on the campus. To be named a Presidential Scholar, a senior-year student must have achieved a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system. Congratulations to six Fontbonne art students whose work was honored in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Contest. There were 14,000 entries in the contest this year. Gold Key Awards were given to Fontbonne students Maura Healy ’12 of Quincy of in painting, Julia Himmel ’11 of Quincy in photography, and Dabota Wilcox ’12 of Randolph in painting. Silver Key Awards were given to Julia Himmel ’11 in photography and Yutong Xue ’12 of Braintree in painting. Honorable Mentions went to Haejung Mun ’12 of Weymouth for painting, and Yutong Xue ’12 for jewelry. The Awards Ceremonies for this year's Gold and Silver Key winners will be held Sunday, March 11 at the John Hancock Hall in Boston. The Gold and Silver key awards will be on display at the…
