Top Five Shoplifting Tales

We can't call it top busts because not everyone on the list was captured, but we've got some interesting ones here for you. Think South Shore Plaza.

In our short time covering everything Braintree (we'll hit two months next week), shoplifting has been the most common charge we've seen come across our police log wires. Already you've seen Top Five Fall Sports Moments and Top Five School Stories. We now present: Top Five Shoplifting Tales. 1. On the morning of Nov. 26 -- Black Friday -- a still-unknown Asian male pulled out a large butcher knife and waved it at a security officer at the South Shore Plaza after he was confronted for allegedly stealing North Face Denali jackets from Macy's. The man escaped in a 2001 Subaru Legacy (pictured with this article) with gray trim on the bottom panels and peeling paint on its rear bumper. Police also believe there was an additional, unknown …
