At the entrance nearest Thayer Public Library, which is across the street, there is a well-kept baseball diamond with bleachers on the third and first base lines. There are no dogs allowed at this park, which is also just south of Thayer Academy on Washington Street and next to Town Hall. The basketball court has nets in both hoops and a bench for resting between play.

Five fields are spread out among a sizable area, with a new snack stand in the middle. Batting cages are also available for those looking to improve their swing. At the front of the park is a two-hoop basketball court, and toward the back is a small playground.

Braintree Public Schools consists of one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools. A school committee made up of seven members also looks after the department.

Once part of the homestead of inventor Thomas Watson, this complex houses six baseball diamonds, including Darosa, DebraMore Steele and Sherdian fields. It is the epicenter of Little League in East Braintree and is located right on the river, making for picturesque views. At the end closest to the main road, there is also a two-hoop basketball court and tennis court. Watson Park also has batting cages and plenty of room for talking a long walk. But there are no dogs or smoking allowed.

Braintree High is on a large campus in the middle of town between Granite, Pond and Frankling streets. It is led byMore headmaster David Swanton and three other supervisors. Departments include arts, Engligh, foreign languages, math, science and physical education. The school offers breakfast in addition to lunch service. Sports at the high schools include baseball, basketball, indoor track, volleyball, football, soccer, wrestling and cheerleading among others.
