Bernie & Phyllis Rubin started their furniture retail business in 1983 and have since opened five Massachusetts stores and a sixth in New Hampshire, employing more than 500 people in total. The Braintree store is the newsest location, having opened in early 2005. It is a 50,000 square foot showroom with a complete range of furnishing possibilities: living/family room, dining, bedding, youth, entertainment center, home office and all related accessories. The furniture store's  motto is "quality, comfort and price - that's nice!"
