Braintree Weekend Agenda: Petersen Splash Pad, Farmers Market

See what's going on around Braintree this weekend.

This is the second-to-last weekend before the Petersen Splash Pad at Watson Park closes for the season. Take advantage of the water play area from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and try to park at Smith Beach.

Town officials have encouraged people to park at the beach, just a short walk on a now-cleared walkway to the park and pad, because residents on Gordon Road have had issues with excessive parking in their area.
