Thayer Public Library hosts its Teen Winter Reading Program all day Monday on the lower level.

"To participate, teens in grades 6-12 (ages 12-18) can stop by the Reference Desk anytime the library is open between 12/16/13 - 12/31/13, fill out a short Book Review for ANY book they've recently read, and receive a PRIZE!"

The library also hosts the Nonfiction Book Club from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Conference Room B. This month's book is: Public Enemies: America's greatest crime wave and the birth of the FBI, 1933-34 by Bryan Burrough.

Braintree High School will host assemblies with Dr. Michael Fowlin Monday. He discusses race, discrimination and violence prevention using his talents as a psychologist, actor and poet.
