Bob Beach Ceremony

Bob Beach, golf pro at the Braintree Municipal Golf Course and lead New England PGA instructor, was presented recently with the national organization's 2013 Patriot Award for his work with veterans and special needs golfers.

Mayor Joseph Sullivan and the Braintree Town Council will honor Beach with a reception at Town Hall on Monday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

Trash Update

All Braintree households, on their two trash days following Christmas, are allowed to put out up to three extra bags of trash for pickup, in addition to their automated waste barrel.

Residents should place the extra bags a few feet away from the trash carts, the town said in a notice on its website.
