Pitches for Piazza, a wiffleball tournament in memory of former teacher Kyle Piazza, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m.
Teams of four must register by Aug. 16, 2012 to be eligible for the $90 registration fee. All proceeds will be going to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
“It is an event that has the potential to bring the community together and support a wonderful cause which affects so many people each and every year,” said Brittney Rizo, one of the event planners.
Piazza was an avid wiffleball player and played in many tournaments while he was healthy. He passed away from complications of T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. Pitches for Piazza will be held in Piazza’s memory.
