Son of Famed BHS Baseball Coach Seeking Interviews for Documentary

Don Fredericks coached Braintree High baseball from 1972-1992.

Don Fredericks brought two decades of success to the Braintree High School baseball program, ending with a 337-98 record and a ticket to the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches’ Hall of Fame.

Now his son Keith Fredericks is working on a documentary called "Coach" about his father's coaching career, and is looking for former players to interview and photos and videos of Don's games and practices.

He has set up a Facebook page called "I Played BHS Baseball for Don Fredericks" for people to share their memories.

Fredericks coached BHS baseball from 1972 through 1992. During that time he won three state championships, four Eastern Massachusetts championships, eleven league championships, and was named Coach of the Year three times.

His American Legion record was 430-135 and he coached the 1989 legion team to the national championships. He was inducted into the Braintree High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993.

Keith's brother Kirk Fredericks is following in their father's footsteps, having lead Lincoln Sudbury to three state championships.
