Junior Skiing and Snowboarding Through Braintree Recreation

The program at the Blue Hills starts in January.

Braintree Recreation is now accepting registrants for its 2014 Skiing and Snowboarding Junior Program at the Blue Hills Ski Area for children ages 8 – 15.

It is a five-week program scheduled for Tuesday afternoons from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.. It runs Tuesday, Jan. 7 through Feb. 45. Any postponements will be made up after Feb. 4.

The program is available for skiers/snowboarders of all abilities from Beginner to Advanced. Groups are arranged by participants’ ability levels to be determined on the first day of the program.

Bus transportation will leave from the Town Hall parking lot by 3:30 p.m. and return to Town Hall by approximately 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the program is as follows:

• $200 – Program, Pass, Bus Transportation
• $280 – Program, Pass, Equipment Rental, Bus Transportation
• $310 – Program, Pass, Equipment Rental, Helmet Rental, Bus Transportation 

There is an additional fee of $30 for those interested in a helmet rental.

Registration begins on Monday, Dec. 2 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Braintree Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse, 101 Jefferson Street. Thereafter, registration is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The deadline to enroll is Thursday, Dec. 19

Parents can register their children either at the Course Clubhouse or at the Recreation Office. No phone or on-line registrations will be permitted. Payment 
can be made by cash, check or MasterCard/Visa. Preference is given to Braintree residents.
