Braintree is among the final three teams in the Babe Ruth 15 Regional Tournament after a 6-5 victory over Norwalk, CT Tuesday afternoon.
Braintree won by way of a walk-off triple in the bottom of the eighth inning, Babe Ruth, said coordinator Carl Zingarelli, who credited an all-around performance by the players and strong support from the coaches for the win.
"I wish more people from Braintree were here to experience this tremendous game, again a total team effort," he said.
The squad plays again Wednesday at 3 p.m. against the loser of Cranston, RI and Central Maine. If Braintree wins that game, they play Thursday against the winner.
