Braintree High Fall 2013 Tryout Schedule

Athletic Director Michael Denise sent out the following message this week:

Mark your calendar.  Another year of high school sports is right around the corner.

Beginning Aug. 1, 2013, The Braintree High School Athletic Department will offer the convenience of online registration for each of our sports seasons through our partner company, FamilyID (www.familyid.com).  FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides an easy, user-friendly  way to register for BHS athletic programs, and helps BHS to be more administratively efficient and 
environmentally responsible.

Football:
Monday 8/19- 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm (All Grades 9-12) at BHS
Tuesday 8/20- 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm (All Grades 9-12) at BHS
Wednesday 8/21- 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm (All Grades 9-12) at BHS
Thursday 8/22- 3 pm – 6:30 pm (All Grades 9-12) at BHS

Cheerleading:

To be eligible for athletic participation, all fall sports candidates MUST:
a. Be academically eligible
b. Complete the online registration process (www.familyid.com/braintree-high-school) 
c. Present a copy of an up-to-date physical examination to the Athletic Director’s office (physical examination is valid for twelve months).  
d. Complete online Concussion Course – www.nfhslearn.com/electiveDetail.aspx?
CourseID=15000 or www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/online_training.html
Additionally, a copy of a parent/guardian and student-athlete certificate must be received by  the Athletic Director prior to tryouts
e. Complete ImPACT Testing prior to tryouts.  Testing dates are August 14, 15, 20 and 21 at 10:00 am in the Media Center, located on the 2nd floor of BHS.

The copy of the most recent physical examination and copies of parent/guardian and student-athlete concussion certificates should be sent to:

Sports Physicals will be offered on Monday, August 19 in the Nurse's Office located on the first floor of Braintree High School.  The cost of a sports physical is $10.00.
