After making a run for the state championship eight months ago the Milton High School Wildcats returned to the ice on December 15, 2012 against the Braintree Wamps at the Ulin Rink. The game was well attended by students and parents on both sides.

As you walked into the rink you were met by Steve Wilkie, the Wildcats Team Manager, who looked great and was ready for another successful year. Also, seen in the large crowd were two of last years scoring machines, Terry Walsh and Paul Curran who were there to cheer on their former teammates.

After losing 13 seniors to graduation last year, the Wildcats were ready for another season led by senior captain’s Brendan Kelley, Pat Coffey and Pat Miller all seasoned players from the championship team.

Milton’s Head Coach Paul Noonan knew with only a half a dozen practices and a couple of scrimmages his team needed the competition and what better way then to go up against Braintree.

In the first period Brendan Kelley would get the Wildcats on the scoreboard first, but Braintree would come right back a minute later and tied it up 1-1.
