Braintree Boys Bball Beats Framingham in Overtime Heartstopper
The Wamps play next against Needham at home Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The BHS boys varsity basketball won a breathtaking game Tuesday night.
There was never more than a five-point lead the whole night. The Wamps took an early lead. At the the end of the 1st quarter the Wamps were ahead 13-9. At the the end of the half it was the Flyers leading 24-18.
The second half was even more exciting than the first. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score was tied at 36. With a little over a minute in regulation the Flyers, down by six, were given the opportunity to crawl back into it after a questionable blocking call on Braintree.

The Flyers took advantage and at the end of regulation the score was tied at 52.
Braintree opened the scoring in the four minute overtime period. With 11 seconds to go in OT and the Flyers up by two, junior Keyma Cannon went up for a lay-up and was fouled but the basket counted. Cannon completed the 3 point play & gave Braintree what they need to win the game... 61-60.
