Big Competitions For Braintree Pop Warner This Weekend

The cheerleaders compete for a chance at the nationals in Florida and the A team plays in the semi-finals.

The following is a note from Coach Carmen Filletti:

We have some exciting events this weekend.

Our A Teams girls compete on Saturday in the final day of Regionals. After finishing 1st in the Hockomock Championship and then 1st again in Regionals last Saturday, they now compete this Saturday 11/10 again in Springfield for the chance to go to FLORIDA. Good luck ladies.  We are Proud of you.

We also have our younger cheer teams competing at the Reggie Lewis Center this Saturday. Good luck all.

Our A Team boys are playing on Sunday in the semi-finals against Wareham.  The game will be at home on Sunday 11/11 at 10:30 AM at the Archbishop Williams Field on Storrs Ave (Braintree High was not available). The winner will play in the Superbowl against Taunton.  Please get the word out.

We thought we had to play the football game away this weekend but just found out we are home. We need to have the stands packed.  Last year when the B Team won the Superbowl it was great to see all the fans in Taunton and Dedham. Please support all of our teams this weekend. The more FANS the better.

Finally, I want to mention our Might Mite (E Team). They played in the Mashpee Tournament last Saturday. They brought home the 3rd place trophy. In the first game they went into overtime against an undefeated Attleboro team with a score of 21 to 21. What a game. The touchdown pass to go into overtime was so exciting. It is a game that the boys will always remember. Then they demolished Lower Cape 27 to 0 in the second game.  All year they were one of my favorite teams to watch. Congrats boys.

Hopefully I see you all this weekend.

GO WAMPS!

Carmen
