"Plymouth was a tough opponent but could not hang on, Braintree was outstanding today, Scott Creedon was superb on the mound, the defense was at the top of its game as the bats came through for the second game in a row," Coach Carl Zingarelli said in an email.

"Kevin Troy crushed the ball for a two-run homer in the first, from that point on Braintree never looked back. I would like to thank each player (this is a 15-man team who complement each other).

"The Coaches were tremendous. Thanks to Buck, Dom, Chris and Tony. A special thanks to Mr. Morales for being there keeping the statistics and unofficial score book and doing whatever was needed to be done for the team – thanks Ice Man.
