University of Akron Chooses Braintree Player for Soccer Team, Clemson Enrollee

University of Akron 

Scott Caldwell of Braintree, MA has been named a member of the men's soccer team at The University of Akron. Caldwell is a midfielder for the Zips, who are ranked #3 in the country.

Since 2006, the Zips men's soccer team has posted the highest winning percentage in the nation (.824) with an overall record of 105-17-14 heading into the 2012 season. The Zips have advanced to the national championship in two of the past three seasons and in December 2010, captured the first team national championship in school history for any sport. Clemson University

Juliana Mary Melchionda of Braintree recently enrolled at Clemson University. Melchionda is majoring in Nursing.

Melchionda is among nearly 3,400 freshmen at Clemson for the fall semester.
