Martin Luther King Jr. Poster Contest Open to Braintree Students
MLK Jr. Day is Monday, Jan. 20, 2014.
In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, Mayor Joseph Sullivan is inviting all Braintree elementary students to take part in a poster contest reflecting Dr. King’s ideas on civic responsibility and human equality.
This year’s theme is “Do the Right Thing.” Students should illustrate what doing the right thing looks like to them.
Judging will be based on creativity, originality and how the poster presents Dr. King's message.
Basic Guidelines:
• Poster should be no larger than 12’ x 18”.
• Submission deadline is Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.
• Posters should be submitted to your school Principal.
• Winners will be recognized on Jan. 21, 2014.
