The Gardeners’ Guild of Braintree awarded two $1,000 scholarships in 2013 to students graduating from Braintree High School.
This year’s recipients are Edward Flaherty and Jack He. The scholarships are given to students pursuing study in fields related to Guild interests, such as environmental, landscaping, botany or design.
Edward will be attending the University of Delaware, where he will major in Environmental Animal Science. Jack will be attending UMass/Boston, where he will major in Ecology.
"It is a pleasure for the Guild to give these two young men an opportunity to pursue their dreams," the guild said in a press release. "Congratulations Edward and Jack."
