Braintree Schools Closed Thursday and Friday
The storm advancing on the area could drop a foot or more of snow.
Braintree Public Schools will be closed Thursday, Jan. 2 and Friday, Jan. 3 because of the approaching snow storm.
Superintendent Dr. Maureen Murray said in an email Wednesday morning that due to the impending storm, school will be closed and all after-school and evening activities are canceled on those days as well.
Forecasts are predicting a foot of snow or more in the Braintree area from Thursday morning through Friday afternoon.
"With this in mind, all athletic contests must be postponed and will be rescheduled for another date," Athletic Director Michael Denise said.
