Upcoming Commuter Rail Change Information – Schedules, Fares

Starting July 1, fares and scheduling will change on the commuter rail lines through Braintree and elsewhere.

Important Information

SCHEDULE CHANGES, FARE INCREASE and ONBOARD FARE PRICING – Effective July 1, 2012

In conjunction with the new fare pricing there will also be new schedules printed reflecting the price changes along with any changes in the train schedules.  There is only one schedule change to the Plymouth/Kingston line at this time:

  • No service available on Saturday or Sunday

If you wish to have information on other lines of route we recommend that you visit the MBTA’s website to determine how those adjustments, if any, may affect your own commuting experience.  www.mbta.com

Pocket schedules will be available at South and Back Bay Stations by the middle of next week. Web versions in pdf format are available now on MBCR’s website at the following link:  http://mbcr.net/Schedules/Old_Colony_web.pdf  and will be available within the next few days on the MBTA's website at: www.mbta.com 
(please note that the Old Colony schedule reflects weekend service; it applies to Middleborough/Lakeville only)
