Town Hosts South Shore Home Consortium Public Forum

As part of the grant, Braintree hosts this public forum.

Braintree, as part of its membership with the South Shore HOME Consortium, is embarking upon an exercise to identify goals and actions to advance fair housing in communities, which will be consolidated into a Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (or RAI).

The RAI will study and address issues of integration and segregation, concentrations of poverty, disparities in access to community assets, and disproportionate housing needs based on protected classes in each participating community. The RAI will also assess fair housing enforcement and outreach capacity in each participating community.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is partnering with the South Shore HOME Consortium on this project, through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
