Route 37 in Braintree Being Paved by State DOT

Franklin Street is currently undergoing work, which should be completed by the end of next week.

State Representative Mark J. Cusack (D-Braintree) has announced that the
Massachusetts Department of Transportation has moved forward with its plans to repave Route 37 in Braintree.

“I have heard from many constituents over the past couple of years about the condition of State roads in Braintree and I am happy that the Department of Transportation is fulfilling its commitment to repair them,” said Representative Mark Cusack. “Five corners and the Franklin Street section of Route 37 are major roads in Braintree and they are getting the attention they deserve. These repairs will help to improve the appearance and safety of our town.”

Cusack worked with the Department of Transportation last year to get Plain Street, Grove Street and Columbian Street repaved and he will continue to work with them to repair the other State roads in his District.

The road construction began last night and is scheduled to be completed by the end of next week.
