Rep. Mark Cusack, the freshman Democratic Representative from Braintree, is being investigated by House Speaker Robert DeLeo for allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with a female aide, who worked for another legislator, in the House Chamber last April.
“The House will conduct an internal review of this matter,” said Seth Gitell, a spokesman for Speaker DeLeo in a statement to Braintree.Patch.Com.
According to a report from the State House News Service, both Cusack and the woman, an aide to a Republican legislator, were clothed “when discovered by a court officer in the well of the rostrum in the pre-dawn hours following the conclusion of the House budget debate.”
Cusack is a former assistant to Braintree Mayor Joe Sullivan.Cusack, 26, graduated from Braintree High School in 2003 and from the University at Amherst in 2007. He was elected to office in Nov. 2010 and represents the Fifth Norfolk District.
