No Parking for Braintree Streets Undergoing Resurfacing This Week

The roads are part of Braintree's 100 Roads Program.

A number of streets in Braintree will be resurfaced this week as part of the 100 Roads Program and no parking notices have gone out to affected residents.

The work is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 11 and will begin each morning, depending on the weather, at 8 a.m. "to allow residents a chance to leave for work," according to a post on the town website.

"The surface will be applied in two layers on two separate days. Each layer needs at least an hour and a half to cure. You WILL NOT be able to drive on this product when it is still wet. Emergencies will be accommodated."

Streets will be affected starting the following days:

Monday – Sunnyside Road, Addison St., Burton Rd., Calvin St., Davis Rd., Eleanor Dr., Fallon Circle and Partridge Hill Rd.

Tuesday and Wednesday – Wildwood Ave., Park Ave., Sheraton Ave., Evelyn Ln., Aspinwall Rd., River St., Plain St. the beginning of Liberty Park Ave.

"This process is extremely weather sensitive. If for any reason the weather does not cooperate work may need to continue into the next week," according to the town.

"Any vehicle parked on the street during construction will have to be towed at the owner’s expense. Please relay this to others that may be driving to or from your house to avoid problems. Thank you for understanding."
