Mayor Sullivan to Recognize Sustainable Braintree for Benches Donation

Sullivan will also recognize the work of Eagle Scout Candidate Liam McGuire of Braintree who installed the benches as part of his Eagle Scout Project.

At 9 a.m. on the morning of Saturday the 13th of October Mayor Joseph C. Sullivan will host a brief ceremony to recognize Sustainable Braintree for their generous donation of three benches that have been placed on the Town Hall Memorial Mall. 

“Braintree is extremely grateful to Sustainable Braintree for their donation of these benches” Sullivan said, “I thank Sustainable Braintree’s President, Cheryl Edgar as well as her steering committee for partnering with the town to get these benches installed.”

Sullivan will also recognize the work of Eagle Scout Candidate Liam McGuire of Braintree who installed the benches as part of his Eagle Scout Project.  “Liam worked tirelessly to see that these benches were placed.  He has worked hard to earn his Eagle Scout Badge.”

“Sustainable Braintree is honored to donate three beautiful benches made from recyclable material to the Town of Braintree” said Cheryl Edgar, President of Sustainable Braintree “These benches will serve as a reminder of  Sustainable Braintree's commitment  to positively impact the community by advocating smart living through sustainability and environmental awareness, Sustainable Braintree congratulates Liam McQuire on completing his Eagle Scout  Project , It is indeed an outstanding achievement. We also want to extend our thanks and appreciation to our members, sponsors and donors for their continued support.”

The benches are made from recyclable materials and have been placed in a location near Sustainable Braintree’s farmer’s market in order to provide a place for market patrons to pause for a few moments and enjoy the Town Hall Mall.
