Weekend soft rock will come to Bugaboo Creek Steak House, Jared the Galleria of Jewelry will open within the next few weeks and automotive empire Quirk Auto will have new property for dealing used car parts following the Board of License Commissioner's meeting earlier this week.
Bugaboo Creek, on John W. Mahar Highway, successfully petitioned board members for a weekly entertainment license to be used on Friday and Saturday nights. Restaurant representatives said they will bring in small bands or solo acts to perform in one corner of the establishment, replacing one, eight-seat table.
Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, is scheduled to open by Dec. 1 at the new Hyatt Place complex across from the South Shore Plaza, the general manager said. The board unanimously approved the retailer's precious metal dealers license on Tuesday. It will join Five Guys Burgers and Fries, the Vitamin Shoppe, Starbucks, Qdoba Mexican Grille and other new businesses.
Daniel J. Quirk owner and CEO of Quirk Auto Group, with 15 dealerships throughout Braintree and the region, received permission for a Class III license for the purchase and sale of second hand motor vehicle parts for use at 45, 60 and 61 Columbia Terrace and 29 and 39 Lancaster Roard.
The license, contingent on Quirk completing a real estate deal with current property owner Flibotte Auto Service, will allow Quirk to expand his business offerings next to land he already owns off Quincy Avenue in Braintree, attorney Frank Marinelli said.
