VIDEO: Patch Editor Participates in K9 Demonstration

The National Night Out at the Milton Police Department featured a K9 Demonstration, which included a cameo from Milton Patch Editor Adam Roberts.

During the National Night Out event at the on Wednesday, August 3, officers from Milton, Bellingham and the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office provided a K9 Unit demonstration.

After volunteering to suit up and take a bite from two dogs , I was elated to get the chance again at Wednesday's event.

Armed with the knowledge I would be safe in the large bite suit, I decided to add another element to my second round against the police canines, a helmet cam.

Though I have participated in a pair of demonstrations, Milton Canine Officer Larry Lundrigan assured me I was not an expert until I took a live bite, sans suit. This is not a challenge I am – or will ever – be up for.

The video features Norfolk County Sheriff Sgt. Brian Bersani and K9 Basko and Bellingham Canine Officer Leonard Gosselin with his K9 Spyder.
