Two Local Men Arrested For Illegal Prescription Drug Sale

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two Braintree men were arrested last week after detectives saw one of them allegedly sell his Oxycodone pills to the other in his driveway.

Police had the home of William Kelly, 67 of Braintree, under surveillance after Kelly appeared to fill an Oxycodone prescription at a local pharmacy, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. He then allegedly sold some of the pills to Dario A. Ripaldi, 26 of Braintree.

"While watching the house, Detective [Robert] Joseph observed Ripaldi pull into the driveway where Kelly met him and had a brief interaction," Jenkins said. "Detective Joseph stopped Ripaldi a short distance away, confronted him with his suspicions and ultimately discovered six Oxycodone pills in Ripaldi’s pants pocket."
