Three people were arrested early Tuesday morning after they allegedly stole catch basins being used for road improvement on Cedar Street in Braintree.
Jacqueline L. Hurley, 33, of Quincy, Erik R. Dalton, 35, of Dorchester and Keith
J. Hosea, 32, of Wollaston were charged with larceny over $250, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
"A Cedar Street resident called police shortly before 4AM and reported that he observed two or three individuals driving up Cedar Street stealing the catch basins," Jenkins said. Cedar Street is presently undergoing water main replacement and numerous catch basins are off to the side of the road."
Police caught them loading the basins, worth $1,800, onto the back of a pickup truck, Jenkins said.
