Seniors Arrested for Shoplifting from South Shore Plaza

An Everett man and Randolph woman allegedly stole $2,600 worth of merchandise from Macy's.

Braintree Police arrested a 68 year old man and a 59 year old woman for allegedly stealing $2,600 worth of merchandise from Macy's on Friday, August 2.

Jose F. Bonilla, of Everett, and Grettel Jeffrey, of Randolph, were both charged with larceny over $250, when Macy's loss prevention witnessed Jeffrey placing merchandise in a stroller and passing it off to Bonilla, who took the items to a vehicle in the parking lot.

According to a release from Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins, Bonilla was approached by loss prevention and escorted to their office. Jeffrey was detained a short time later.

Several bags of clothing was recovered from the suspects' vehicle.
