Safe Stolen From Allen Street Home

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Braintree police are investigating a break-in last week at an Allen Street home that resulted in a stolen safe.

The homeowner told police that his home was broken into sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

When he returned home from work the homeowner found his front door open and pry marks damaging a front window casing. A safe containing personal papers, checkbooks, a watch and gold cross were taken, Jenkins said. Nothing else appeared to be disturbed or taken.
