A few times per month, images of people suspected of committing crimes in Braintree – usually violent acts or various forms of theft – appear on a website, with a call for tips and the phone number of a local detective.
This site, MassMostWanted.org, is sponsored by the Mass Bankers Association and maintained by the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council. Police departments around the state use it as a database of at-large suspects, a place from which news organizations can select and use information in their publications.
Recently, in Braintree's section of the site, several new cases became available to the public, with images attached from surveillance footage. They include a Nov. 12 incident in which two women stole Calvin Kline fragrances from at the , the case of a woman who used a counterfeit $20 bill at the Plaza on Oct. 29 and another incident involving two females and stolen perfume, on Nov. 4.
