Police Investigating Two Home Break-ins

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Worthington Circle home was broken into between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28 by way of a bathroom window at the back of the house.

Money, an iPad and a 60” flat screen TV were taken in the break, Police Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

Jenkins added that there is no evidence to connect this break with a break-in the day before on Liberty Street.

That home – on the 1700 block of Liberty – was broken into at approximately 8:30 p.m. Aug. 27. The homeowner returned home and found a man wearing a backpack walking down her driveway and then toward Holbrook.

"When the homeowner entered her home, she observed that her rear door was open and the house appeared to have been ransacked," Jenkins said. "It was later determined that entry was actually gained through a bathroom window. Taken in the break were two laptops, checkbooks and other small items."
