Police Investigating Adams Street House Break-in

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police are investigating a report from an Adams Street homeowner that her home was broken into sometime between 7:20 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

Entry was likely gained through a window after an air conditioner unit was pushed in. Bedrooms were ransacked and jewelry boxes disturbed.

Police could not say immediately what was taken.

Jenkins made a point to say that window air conditioner units are a popular point of entry for housebreaks.
