Police Investigate Two Braintree House Breaks

Police ask that you report anything suspicious.

Braintree police are investigating two housebreaks that occurred within the past week. 

On Thursday, June 12, officers responded to a French Avenue home to investigate a past breaking and entering. Thieves got in through a window, and a screen was torn. A bedroom and closet were gone through and several items stolen. It appears the entry was made sometime between 2 and 5 p.m. Detectives are investigating. 

On Friday, June 13, officers responded to an Ellsworth Street home to investigate a past breaking and entering. Officers were called around 6 a.m. to the residence.  The homeowner noticed an open window that had the screen torn out as well as an open door in the rear of the house. It appeared the home was entered during the night while the homeowners were asleep. Some items stolen from the home were found nearby in a driveway on West Street.  Detectives are investigating.
